Rapid diagnosis
Most clients do not arrive with a tidy specification. They arrive with a slow database, a manual process wasting hours, or a vendor product that will not do what was promised. We start by finding the real problem.

Pronounced Sigh-tron
Tech problems do not scare us. Unresolved ones do. CSCentron is a technical practice built around one outcome: a working system without the enterprise fluff.
The practice
CSCentron is run by Tim Casson-Smith. Clients work directly with him — the person who investigates the issue, researches the fastest path, and repairs or steadies the system.
The work sits at the practical end of technology: consultant support for the tools a business already uses, SQL databases that need to run cleanly, Linux servers that need a certified pair of hands, and scoped Windows and Android workflow apps when a spreadsheet is no longer enough.
What we do not offer is a generic password-reset helpdesk, or DevOps and cloud architecture we would not stand behind. If it is not a strength, it is not on the menu.
How we work
Most clients do not arrive with a tidy specification. They arrive with a slow database, a manual process wasting hours, or a vendor product that will not do what was promised. We start by finding the real problem.
We research the stack so you do not waste money on the wrong software. Sometimes that is a $50/month product we will tell you to keep using. Sometimes it is a change of process, not a new purchase.
A job is written down before hours run on. Extra ideas go on a later list. That is how support stays honest instead of disappearing into open-ended tickets.
How a job runs
A complimentary discovery and workflow review. Enough to see whether a callout, a SQL fix, Linux work, custom software, or a research audit is the right first step.
We look at the actual system, then quote a defined job, a block of hours, or a monthly retainer.
The work is done, notes are left with you, and a staff member can run the routine afterwards.
Named specialist
Clients talk to the person who will do the work. Communication is in plain English. A job is written down before hours run on.
If the work is not a strength, we say so and point you elsewhere. That is how support stays honest.
